Our Brand Story
Evergreen was founded by Jack Lankford in 2020 as a small social hiking club through Facebook. As the group grew, and had a hike with a record high 87 people, the Club was formed into a nonprofit corporation, by the name of Evergreen Young Adult Social Club. In 2023 Evergreen changed to welcome adults of any age, and went by its new name, Evergreen Community Group. Evergreen became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in late 2022. Evergreen is low barrier, accepting of all people and serves the 5 county area.
Mission Statement
Evergreen's mission is to be a beacon of warmth, connection, and support for those feeling isolated or lonely in Northern Michigan. Our goal is to create a welcoming space where individuals can find solace, community, and an uplifting presence.
